The first weekend in October saw the culmination of a project at the Haut-Lac International Bilingual School that was months in the making. A cross between the CAS project of four very ambitious DP students and an event run globally across an enormous network of international schools and universities, the Model United Nations, this was an intense weekend of politics and debate.

Every International School faces the same reality in the end of a school year: students leaving. History then repeats itself every beginning of the school year: new students arriving. The start of this 2019/2020 year has been no different, and we cannot forget that a similar situation occurs with teachers too. With 25 years of experience in this business, we understand the profound importance of recognising what affects mobile families and students, in order to be able to fulfil our educational mission.

Emerging, aspiring or elite student-athletes no longer need to choose between pursuing their studies or their sport. As an Athlete-Friendly Education Centre, we can provide students with flexible timetables to help them follow the IBMYP cycle and IB Diploma alongside a rigorous sport training programme.

Students aged 11 to 14 who wish to give themselves the choice, between obtaining the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB DP) at Haut-Lac or preparing for the entrance exams to public high schools in Switzerland, can do so by combining additional courses in French, German, and mathematics with our courses of the Middle Year Programme of the International Baccalaureate.
